Felisa with Govindjee, one of her heroes! 2008 Photosynthesis Gordon Research Conference.

Felisa and Dr. Antony Larukum in Harvard Square after a day reacquainting Tony with Harvard University. A truly Cambridge day- rain then sun then rain then glorious sun! (June 2008)

Felisa caught up with Dr. Everett Shock at the 2008 AGU meeting in San Francisco. Dr. Shock has pushed the limits of heat and pressure to understand fundamental biogeochemical properties of natural systems such as the hot springs of Yellowstone National Park and others.

Felisa visiting with Dr. Sabeeha Merchant at UCLA. Dr. Merchant has unraveled mysteries of metal usage and physiological flexibility of photosynthesis and eukaryotes using the model organism Clamydomonas reinhardtii.

Dr. Elizabeth Theil (CHORI/UC Berkeley) and Felisa caught up at the recent Metals in Biology Gordon Conference in Jan 2009. Ferritin, the amazing bio-nano cage has occupied most of Dr. Theil's work where she has helped to elucidate the mechanisms and biological controls of iron in biological systems.
